Silk Light Laser Photorejuvenation
The treatment consists of a pulse light at correct wavelengths and pulse structure of the superficial dyscromies and the deeper dermis, in order to get a relevant improvement of the skin trauma and pigmentation with leveling of the small wrinkles.
SILK LIGHT PHOTOREJUVENATION Therapy is a quick fix procedure requiring virtually no downtime to rejuvenate the skin and restore a youthful glow. IPL stimulates new collagen to form inthe skin thereby:
- Reducing fine lines (wrinkles)
- Minimizing pore size and acne scars
- Increasing skin elasticity (sags)
- Diminishes flushes or redness of the face associated with Rosacea
- Reduces brown spots (freckles, melasma)
- Erases broken capillaries
- Smoothens roughly textured skin
Post Treatment:
- Mild sunburn-like sensation is expected. It usually lasts 2-24 hours but can persist up to 72 hours.
- Avoid aggressive scrubbing and use of exfoliants, scrub brushes and loofah sponges until the treatment area has returned to its pretreatment condition.
- Avoid sun exposure to treated areas. Use a sunblock if sun exposure is unavoidable. Sun avoidance will decrease likelihood of skin color changes.
- The lesion will gradually turn darker over the next 24-48 hours.
- The lesion will progress to scabs/crusting and will start flaking off in 2-3 days.
- Do not pick, scratch or remove scabs. This will prevent unwanted side effects.
- The lesion is usually healed in 7-10 days.
- The complete cycle includes on average 5-8 follow-up treatments at 4 weeks’ delay.
VASCULAR TREATMENT
Vascular lesions like telangectasia and rosacea can be coagulated by IPL, choosing the appropriate range of wavelengths and pulse duration.
The correct handpiece, according to the skintype, can start from 510 nm or 550 nm for lower skintypes and from 590 nm for darker skintypes.

PIGMENTATION LESIONS
Wavelengths from 510, 550 and 590 nm must be used to heat benign pigmented lesions, such as the lentigo or age spots.
The pulse width must be very short to prevent the abnormal thermal diffusion from the lentigo to the surrounding tissue.
Pulse width ? 15 ms
